Importance of food for well-being
Food gets lots of focus in health and well being in the past 20 years since humankind is getting more and more aware of how food impacts daily living and well being. Ancient healing systems eg. Chinese medicine and Ayurveda both consider food from its energetic nature point of view and less concerned about the nutritive content, while the western approach almost purely focuses on micro elements and physical content.
According to my view both approaches are valid and none of them can be considered better than the other. Open mind and a healthy mix of approaches can help to find your balance when it comes to food. This is not an easy topic as there are hundreds of theories, diets floating around, each getting some traction while an other one comes and changes everything. If you really want to be pro in your food and diet it is highly recommended to work with certified nutritionists as they really know the mix of protein, carbohydrate etc you need for a balanced diet.
Food builds your body therefore consider this proverb: 'You are what you eat' !
Food testing with Energy Kinesiology
I need to emphasize that there are multiple Kinesiology modalities with different approaches to food testing. Energy Kinesiology aims to observe the change in the integrity of your muscle response when your are exposed to food. It is believed that your body straight responds to food when it is exposed to it, which does not necessarily mean eating it. Sometimes it is enough just looking at it or touching it. Think about a food that you hate and feel what changes you have in your state when you are thinking about it. The Energy Kinesiology food test indicates how your body responds to food. Food can disrupt its balance by taking away more energy than it adds. You can experience this with "food coma", which you might have experienced when you had a heavy, fatty meal and you slept for 2 hours after eating it. Food can also over energize you and cause agitation and anxiety (think about drinking 3 espresso coffees in a row). The best food for you is the one that keeps you energetic and in balance.
Energy Kinesiology food testing helps you to understand how your energy system and muscle tone reacts to any kind of food, without knowing and analyzing the components of the food. This can help you to avoid or add certain type of food to your diet in order to stay in your optimal balance.
Food balancing with Energy Kinesiology
Kinesiology does not treat you and fix you, but helps you to get back to your optimal state, which is unique to each individual. Energy Kinesiology not only helps to understand how food may impact you, but can offer a balancing process to release the stress that contributes to your imbalance. Accumulated stress can contribute to absorption, utilization, metabolism problems which may lead to allergic reactions.
If you experience anything like this work with your GP, nutritionist and add a certified kinesiology practitioner to the mix who can provide you with an other view. All these professions are there for you to help you with taking responsibility for your life and changing your lifestyle.
